Nestled on the side of the Cambrian mountains,
surrounded by tranquil countryside,
is the perfect holiday retreat—and that's where you will find us!
We are a family-run business.  My husband and I have always
dreamed of operating a holiday rental. Initially, we envisioned doing this
abroad, but the impact of COVID-19 led us to realise that this might not be a
sustainable option.
Instead, we focused on our smallholding and renovated an old cow shed
to create our Coed Y Ddraig Cottage Holiday Rentals.
We poured our heart and soul into creating a space that we love. Our passion
for pirates is captured in the themed bar, where the hull of a boat
inspired the ceiling. We made a resin bar representing the deep ocean,
showcasing our passion for diving. The bar features real sand and treasures
we have collected over the years. We hand-made the skulls, which took about
two weeks to create, with each mold requiring 15 minutes. The skulls
under the sea are our representation of Davy Jones' locker.
Additionally, we have a life-size model of a great white shark's jaw on the wall
and a full-size pool table. To add to the vibe,
we added a swing to the bar, inspired by one we saw while travelling abroad.

3 Hobbit Houses
Three themed underground houses.

Our love for fantasy is further expressed in the unique three underground houses.
Inspired by our passion for Tolkien, we created our own version of a Hobbit village
—perhaps they are distant cousins. It is believed that he drew inspiration from Wales
when he brought the Shire to life. We have thoroughly enjoyed letting our imaginations
run wild, and we hope you enjoy it as much as we do. These are unique spaces that offer
modern functionality you'll appreciate.
